It’s upsetting to me that the Catholic website I found this on felt the need to interpret it as “Francis did not try to abolish poverty, he tried to make it holy” when, clearly, he intended to abolish private property. I suppose they’re afraid of the very logical, anarcho-communist conclusions of a lot of christian teachings.
